Does anyone have a good suggestion on where to get a scale to measure the weight of guides? Something that will go down to just a few grams but still have decent resolution at a few grams. Re: scale

Anyone that sells reloading supplies will sell scales for weighing out gunpowder

Ditto the reloading scale. I have an older PACT digital for about a $100 bucks from Midway Shooting. The balance beams are cheaper. If this is a one time deal I will certainly weigh them for you, but I suspect this is an ongoing concern and you will want your own. Re: scale

Small ceramic fly guides and single foot spin guides can weigh as little as 0.2 gram each. You need to weigh a bunch at a time or have a balance that will weigh to 0.1 gram increments. I work in a lab so I use the balances here. Do a Google search, I found a web site a while back that had reasonable prices on electronic balances that would meet your needs. Re: scale

Thank you guys. I will look at that web site plus using a reloading scale never occured to me. Re: scale

The high dollar scales are nice, but I opted for a non-digital spring-loaded scale that measures 0-250 g (about 8.8oz). Small scales are available through office supply stores. They are good enough for rod work.
Paid a little less that $25 for mine. Lou Re: scale

Office Depot postal scales are pretty nice - but pretty pricey too. Know anyone at the local post office? I've had them weigh some for me a
couple of times to answer questions like "How much more total weight to use x = manufacturer's guides vs y = manufacturer's guides?" Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
