I have fished and built spinning and casting rods for some time but now I am venturing into the flyfishing world. From what I have learned a beginner should start with a moderate action rod. Got a guide wanting a striper rod able to handle 50lb striper on Tennessee lakes. I'll meet with him for details next week, but would like to take him some ideas.
