All,
Does anyone have any inventory left of the All Star titanium casting blanks?
Specifically, I am looking for the BAST 845MC, 7' model.
I built some of these for my local bass pro and he wants more, of course the blanks are no longer available.

Hi Lou,
If you are near downtown, the Willamette River would have bass, carp and panfish opportunities for your fishing window. There is a new river walk along the east side of the river where there is both bank and dock fishing available. You'll probably see some folks fishing for sturgeon from some of the deeper docks. Ask for directions to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). P

I second Mike's suggestion on a separate lathe for turning grips than your wrapping station. There are several lathe selections in the $100 to $160 range, and you can probably pick up a used Pac Bay power wrapper in the $200 to $250 range. Now you get 2 toys close to your

I tried rod bond but it wasn't as smooth as I would have liked. I have better luck with Flex Coat or other rod finish with color added. I just load up a spatula and apply it to the end of the rod grip and just build it up gently until I get the fill and angle that I want. Throw it on the dryer and let it turn until cured.
