I just got a chance to play with the Teflon Clear Heat Shrinking Tubies to hold my guides. It is fascinating that it is easy to use with a heat gun and it has durable strength. I was wondering if there is anyone else on this board experiment with this. What is the pro and con ?

ER uses super glue to bind cut skin together. Jr. got big cut on his face and the Dr. uses super glue to bind it together. And there is no trace of the scar on afterward.
Have fun rolling Tom...

Went back to the K-Mart a few minutes ago to get a snapshot of the rod. A salesperson who worked there yesterday was there and informs me that it was not a ShakeSpeare rod but a Ocean Penn Rod (Not over $100). Someone switched the label. Anyhow, someone bought that rod and they are out. I'll see if there anyother K-mart store around..

It is very nice to have these data in the MRS Database. I was off track for two-three weeks on other projects but if there are a large number of serious builder that would be interested in these data and the MRS system, why dont we link it up and make it RodMaker very own share utility and database ? What do you say Mr. Bill Colby? Mr. Tom Kirkman? off course if money is the issue, can we set

I recognized this wrap from another tackle shop where they carry high end rod such as G-Loomis with the same Chevron wraps. It not a five minutes job, Tom. Anyhow, it just speculation.

The quality of this Chevron wrapped is tight with four diffrent colors. The guide wraps also consist of 2 or 3 different colors band.

In my opinion, someone has figured how to mass produce wrapping patterns on rod. This may be phase one in experimenting on cheaper rod. Then it may be more into the quality of itself.

Use cutting coolant or water (spray at the object) to avoid plastic melt-down while cutting.
Hope this help..

Bob,
Screenshot of this new idea will be ready by next week. It just a simple system where you can drag the art work into the rod that you are estimating for your client. It is super cool to see it even though you haven't built it yet. I'm getting lots of positive respond emails from builder on this forumn. Artist name will be display on pics that i will use. Thanks again.

His thought on his inventory system is to link up with multiple vendors -a daily database updating on pricing- therefore you will sure to get the best price and sure to get the parts.

He is thinking about one that gears toward Rod Building. Graphical display of blank, guides, handle, reel and custom wrapping. He is thinking about investing on building this software if it is not yet thought of.
Thanks Roger !
