You might want to consider using 8 lb polyurenthane foam and pour it into the bareback mold you are making Rick

Thanks for the replies. To clarify, the grip is not symmetric - it has a raised portion on top to accommodate the hollow of the palm, and is flat on the bottom to accomodate a plate-type reel seat. Rick

I have some carbon fiber tubing and a prototype handle for a rod grip. I am looking for someone willing to pour some 6 or 8 lb urethane in the shape of the prototype handle, which I shaped out of clay. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, Rick

Would it be a good idea to position the reel seat so the effective height of the spinning reel is reduced when using the NGC or 27x method for guide placement?

I love the AERO Comfort Finish Spinning Seat. Ideally, I'd like to combine it with the FG25C Cork Foregrip (2-1/2" X 3/8" ID)/ HPS16N Quicklock Foregrip Nut so I can move my hand farther up the handle (the rod hand would rest both on the Aero seat and the cork-covered foregrip nut). Does anyone know if the HPS16N fits on the threads of the AERO Comfort Finish Spinning Seat? Any an

Some have suggested 27X spacing may be too far out for the choke guide. If so, are there alternate ways of locating that guide closer to the reel face, apart from trial and error? I understand line

Tom, I think you answered this by implication, but I wanted to be sure. The 27x distance (calculated from spool diameter): 1. Uses the top section of the spool and represents the maximum diameter of the top face? 2. Is the distance from the top spool face to its itersection with the rod? OR Is the distance added along the length of the rodf starting at the rod point correspondi

Ted, I'd love to see pictures of handles you use, if possible. Do you carve them out of cork or EVA, or are you creating carbon grips?
