I have someone who contacted me about fixing up some rods for use/donating to kid groups. He has a large lot of rods, most with broken top sections, some just missing them. I am trying to get as many together as I can without spending much money. Any help is appreciated. Scott

Im looking for replacement fiberglass tip sections to very cheap poles. I have someone who got a very large lot of this that he would like to fix up to give away to kids and or groups that deal with kids. Most have missing or broken top sections and I am willing to do this for him in my free time, but I am having a hard time finding the fiberglass that will work. Thanks, Scott

That is exactly what most do. Some also use a rubber winding check.

Doc Ski also has two super videos on weaving. I highly recommend Jim's book and both of these videos.

First if the decal is not distorted and will still stick, you can take a needle and poke a hole in the middle of the bubble. Then press down and release the air throught he needle hole. When all the air is removed the tiny hole will be alot less noticable than the bubble. If this fails, replace the decal.

For those that havent tried it, you gotta. It did not lift the finish, set quickly and the final outcome was beautiful! No nose burning, headache causing smell also. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

A builder once shared with me the use of "SuperGlue" to hold the one or two strand trim bands. Another option, but it takes longer is color preserver.

I wanted to give a big public THANK YOU to Lance. I recently ordered a very small order from them that included some micro guides to use on a rod for myself. (A first in my dealings with the micro's.) I ordered these online and didn't notice that I only had one guide ordered instead of the 12 that I had thought I ordered. I also ordered the new decal material from Bobby Feazle on Swamplands site.

Unfortunatley I am going to tell you that you need to purchase Doc Ski's cd. It is great for beginners. He takes you step by step through the whole process. You can get that at Acid Rod.com as well as other sponsers.
