I love my American Tackle Bushido DS69 but I use the 8 to 15. I set it up for a baitcaster and use it to jig for walleyes here on the Mississippi and also on the Detroit River.

Customer looking for a S glass blank. Heres his requirement : "I've got one that's sweet for traps, but I'd like to get rid of my Shimano stuff. My other 2 crankbait rods are Loomis. Ones great for dt6s, the others good for 1.5s. I'd like one between those 2 so it could do both". Suggestions?

Seriously, take a look at American Tackle's Bushido blanks. The MB73 / 10-20 would fit the bill. I feel the Bushido blanks are very durable and sensitive, with plenty of muscle to handle anything I have come in contact with.

Hi Jeremy, I highly recommend American Tackles Bushido CB68/6-12 - 6'8" Popping / Crankbait 6-12 lb. or the CB72/8-15 - 7'2" Popping / Crankbait 8-15 lb. with their new MicroWave Guide System. For information about the Bushido blanks and the MicroWave Guide System, go to www.americantackle.us Scott

I am looking for a pistol grip assembly, like one found on a cheap discount rod. I have a customer that want to have his sons pole fixed as a sentimental thing and the pistol grip was broken right at the reel hold down clamp. The grip I was told was rubber material and the rest plastic? Where can I find something like this? Thanks! Scott

It was a wonderful gathering with lots of information shared. Thank you Mark for taking care of organizing this, you did a great job! I too want to thank all the companies that sent items to be given away. It is so neat watching each other Drool over the table and seeing the anticipation on the faces when the drawing begins. Some people would never expose themselves to some of the items unles

I use the same cheap brushes, but I do not use heavy brush strokes. I always use a bubble blaster or heat to pop the bubble if they exist.

Steal some clear fingernail polish from the wife, girlfriend, daughter, or neighbor. It will do the trick.

Try DUCO Cement. It is available at any hardware store. It is quick dry, but yet you are still able to just pop it right off. You will still be able to move the guide if you need to once the wrap is done. It also will fill the gap if any under the guide foot. It does not form a permanent bond to the blank. I love it!

What a great gathering.Between Steve Cox and his beautiful creations, Sam Fox and his wisdom, Gary Land and his @#$%&, and finally Pauls handmade tools, it was a perfect day. It was especially great to have MidWest Rod and Reel there. I know they took some money from me. It was also special to have some fine companies donate materials and components such as Batson, RodMaker Magazine, Mud Hole Ta

Thanks Mark. That does give me a good "game plan". At first I was thinking too hard and those are simple yet classy. Gosh Tom, I wish I could make it to the show sometime. Unfortunatly my job does not allow me to travel in the winter months. Maybe a new job is needed..........................
