Eric,
I spiral wrap most of my heavier fly rods, 7 wt and up. The first guide is placed 90 degrees to the left for the right handed caster. Then 1/2 way between it and the next standard guide is one placed at a 45 degree angle.
It is my belief that a flycaster using the left hand as a "platform" from which to guide his/her line from the ground up to the rod, it goes over the

Hi Bruce,
All my rods get trim wraps on all of the guides. The purpose here is to set myself and craft apart from the "factory" look. To me doing trim wraps all the way up the rods is one more way to conote that I've taken my time and care for my work and the product is hence, worth more the money paid.
good wrapping,

Dan,
I'm looking forward to seeing the 2005 catalog. You've got many items I can't get from others.
Also, nice pics of you on the walls of your local McDonalds. It seems you're very revered there.
Good wrappin,

Can't go wraong with all those previously suggested. But don't forget to look at the rod blanks in the American Tackle line-up. There are several 1 piece and 2 piece rods to choose from.
The full line is handled by a number of fine ATC dealers, such as Mud Hole, Bingham, Richard's, and others.

American Tackle Company makes a beautiful midnight blue gloss series of rods called Elite. They are made in the USA, means alot to me, by a very well known, well regarded manufacturer. Find a discription on the Richards Rod & Reel, Mud Hole, or other American Tackle retailers sites.
You'll find these blank are mod-fast to fast, thin, crisp and all around great blank.

Bill, Sorry to hear of the inscription problems. Make sure the ink/paint you use is water resistant. Most will infact say so on the package. Doing this alone will prevent any second or third steps to seal, preserve or set the inscription. If the package doesn't say anything about water resistance then assume it isn't.
Good wrappin,

Hi guys and gals,
I've got a customer who is requesting a fly rod,5/6 wt, made from fiberglass.
A quick check of the sponsors brought me up short on suppliers. Could anyone out there shed alittle light on this subject for me?
Thank you very much in advance for I really appreciate your help.
good wraps,
