Ray, I'm glad you are getting your work back. I am much more fortunate than the folks at the show, because I got to see your work last August in Park Falls. I know how much work went into those pieces, and am glad you don't have to recreate them. I look forward to seeing you in charlotte next year. And maybe in Park Falls this August!

Newbie, here's the good news as I see it on your spinning seat. You get to build your rod any way you like. It will probably perform just fine the way you did it. Do you like the way it looks? If so, remember that you get to do anything you want in your shop with your components. As for the factory second blank. I would not use one if possible. There are a lot of inexpensive blanks out there you

Yeah, Ken, I got a set of those green frame spinning guides with the gold insert, too. And I saw the Fuji gold winding checks on Bob McKamey's table. But I think Todd or the coach told me they weren't in yet. I'll be looking for one of those as well. Next year, Im getting a home equity line of credit before I hit the show. And if you want the best of the best deals at the show, get there before

214. Charlotte Show
I know that a lot of folks aren't even home yet from the show, but I am fortunate to live in the Charlotte area. I had a ball at the show! The specials were good, the seminars were very educational, and the social event was a lot of fun! It was also good to put faces with a lot of familiar names, of builders and suppliers.
Thanks, Tom, for a great job in putting this event on. It gets better

Caro, I think that you can get a 7' St. Croix SCIV or V crankbait, moderate action, that will deliver the same or better performance as a glass blank, while being smaller in the butt, lighter, and much easier on a 1000 cast day.

The best alcohol torch I have ever used is built by Buffalo Dental Tool MFG., Syosset, NY, 11791. I don't know if they have a website. It has a squeeze botle and a tip to direct the flame in a pin point. I use denatured alcohol, and never have soot. Ask your dentist for help finding a source locally. They aren't expensive, and work great.

Dean, will the free dryer deal be available at the show? And will a purchase there mean no shipping charges? I have been considering a new wrapper, and have been waiting for the show in the hope of seeing one of the Pac Bay wrappers. I don't want to go to the expense of the Renzetti, since I do my handle & seat turning on a mini lathe from PSI. I am just looking for a good platform that allow

219. Re: powerwrapper
I for one am hoping to see both versions of power wrappers at the show. I am ready to upgrade, and would like to see them both first hand. I remember seeing the Renzetti last year, but at the time wasn't interested in upgrading.

I'd like to learn more about the Salter Jigging Pole mentioned above. I couldn't find it in the Forecast catalog. Anyone got a location for it? I have a guy that might be interested in several crappie rods of this description if I can price them reasonably.

You're going to get a lot of responses to this one. If you do a search, you'll get a lot of answers. I have a Turncrafter Pro with the extension. Chuck-Mini 3-jaw, #C3J-4. Also, 1/2" Drill chuck #TM32. I got the 3 piece Chisel set #LCPM3. The whole setup, with shipping, was $350.00. I love mine. I know a lot of others do, too. Good luck!

Am I going to have to log in every time I go to the board if I want to reply, so that my name appears and I don't have to re-type it?
