I finally have something to contribute! Before becoming a teacher, I was a painting contractor for 19 years. I learned through many expensive episodes that fish eyes only occur when the surface tension on the object being finished is less than that of your finish. the surface tension in your finish prevents the finish from laying out smoothly. Contaminates are sometimes silicones, but furnitur

Billy. Oh oh... I want this wrap to be 10" or about 250mm from winding check to the tip end of the tie-off wrap. It could be a bit longer, but not 300! Will that work? I have learned to wrap a couple of extra inches up the blank because the first fish is hard for me to keep organized coming off that giant wad of tape and thread LOL. I am really most concerned with things staying put under load. In a perfect me world, this rod will go

A bit of background: The Grafhiter 700xl blank was chosen because I have never had a graphite rod before and want to give one a go,. The whole idea is to make the sport as exciting as possibe While trying my hand at some decorative wrapping. (I have

I am putting together a lightweight (graphite) , fast action rod for targeting yellowtail from a kayak. I will be using Fugi Nsg guides. The question I am pondering is whether or not to underwrap the guides. That whole weight, performance, aesthetic thing. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Also, if I do underwrap, what product would you recommend for coating the underwrapping before
