Actually the blank is not heavy at all the fiber clothe they use is real light and has an excellent bent like a lamiglas 10' 1 pc. The only issue for me is that it's a bit large on the butt. Uncertain as to what type reel but will work good on a 113h and excellent on a shimano torium 30. 20 to 50lb class.

Billy I'm thinking cork and EVA for the time being, I saw the one's on Mudd Hole but looks like PVC, I'll cut/break that thing in no time. I'm trying to get one made of metal/Aluminum or stainless even if it cost more but its for the long haul (money wise). I don't think I've ever saw the old Clemens checkerboard ones but do remember 1 that looked blue more or less. Sorry for the late response

80. Re: A CUI gem
Yep, another happy camper here guys, the benchmark blanks are excellent blanks, I use the 7'6" for Bass, trouts and reds. Haven't gone wrong w/this blank. There BW Blanks are light but yet strong enough to hold any Bull red 50" and under. Guaranteed.....

Hi Bill, I use both 6rpms and 18 rpm from flexcoat, I also use the 18rpm as a finish mixing machine, a few rpms slower than the new one from one of the suppliers but over all works great, I use 18rpms for small rods light game and 6 rpms for surf rods. Hope this helps some, lots of these folks are a lot more knowledgeable then me. Just throwing in my 2cts.

First let me apologies for getting the name wrong, Its Breakaway Tackle, not castaway, as for the no#s of the surf blanks I would be giving you the wrong info, but one thing for sure they are Batson blanks, double fitted to your need for casting looooonnnng distance. As for a bomb Mr.B, no savy, most have long butt for slinging and the reels are set with high speed bearings. Look at BreakawayUS
