I fish with all white rods. They do not yellow at all. Threadmaster after 5 years on the ocean and they do not show any signs of yellowing. So that theory is thrown out. LOL. Now the grips, yes they are white also. All you have to do is spray them with scotch guard and they will repel any dirt and grime. Spray scotch guard, without cleaners is what I used. I spray them about every 2 years

Trim the veneer square, then start thread at the edge of the veneer and wrap out to the desired distance then overlay the thread and come back up and over top of the veneer a tiny bit.

You can email me at kknox@anglersenvy.com to order. Paypal only. No problems now. After lawyers and seedy people got their paws out of my money, they have moved on now.

looked for a long time and contacted the previous owner hoping he had a stash of blanks. None to be had. Good luck but your only option will be to buy some off the net, strip them and rebuild them.

Bad timing I guess, but my site is in the process of being transferred from one server to another. It should be completed now but the Email is a problem as the webmaster has to do some backdoor stuff to get it working properly. Thanks for your understanding and I will keep an eye out for orders. Greetings all. I have had people asking me if I would be at the show this year, and unfortunately, I can't get there this year. My rod business is exploding and this demands that I am stuck here in the shop to get orders built for my customers. I also realize that I have customers in the building industry that utilized this opportunity to purchase my Abalone veneer sheets at the show to save o

I don't recommend it for that application. Fly rod blanks, let alone 4wt blanks, are thin walled and blank failure is a possibility with veneer on it.

Thats correct. Boil the veneer face down until the backing is fully penetrated (about 10 minutes for my veneer) and peel and stick. But thats with my veneer. I can't speak for others product. Well, I can, but I won't. :)

Take the heat gun and put it in the shed. It doesnt work. The burnishing tool is for thread. Leave that out of hands reach when working with veneer. You have all the tools you need attached to your hands. Fingers are all that are needed. Take a look at www.anglersenvy.com/veneer-gallery and this is all you need. The article is a nice accompanyment to the veneer and Rodmaker has them for sa

I have never used a Pac Bay butt on a Chatham, nor would I just because of that. 1 failure resulting in a snapped unibutt is 1 too many. Not designed to be used on gunnel fights? Interesting. You might want to get an American Tackle, Stuart or Aftco and cut one open and see how they do theirs. Theirs don't have any issues. Stuart especially. Best butt in the industry. Tunamen need a reli

No riddle. Pac Bay has a 2 piece reelseat that would enable you to take apart and shorten your required packing size from 7' down to 5'.

The upgrade to the new lathe was seamless and is outstanding. I am hearing reports of sagging beds but I am not seeing any sag at all. My beds are 12' and I love the ability to run the length without moving rod supports. The ability to wrap right up to the support is not as great as I thought it would be as the support is int he way when I go to finish wraps. So, I keep mine in the middle bet
