With sub grade vinyl materials used in sub grade manufacturing, that also includes the adhesive. If there is ever a question on peel and stick decals, it is always a good bit of insurance to put a coat of CP around the edges of the decal.

Bill, Shoot me an email about the paper you are talking about. Alps even when they were in business did not make thire own paper here. Just remember that most of the cartridges you guys are buying are probably not fresh if not all of them.

Scott, The rubbing off the letters as you are describing is a normal thing for the Alps process. It also can be worse depending on what paper you are using. You can apply a good coat or two of a liquid vinyl on the decal and that allows you to rub it more aggressively. If you need any other info or have any decal questions. Please feel free to contact me off my web site.

Eric, You are correct in using tape. Even if your printer does recognize the paper, using tape in that manner should be the norm with this type of paper. There is a coating that is sprayed on the paper that allows the use of your inkjet printer, and there have been incidents where the leading edge of that coating has loosened and folded over. That will ruin your decal if it does

Over the past several months, we have been asked numerous times if we could print in Cooper Metallic and the answer was no. Well now, the answer is yes. Please keep this in mind that we have been able to obtain this new color for our Rod Building Friends. This is just another thing you can put in your arsenal for your customers.

Terry, To many times in the past have decals had the cloudy finish even on a high gloss blank. There are still many imperfections on a glossy bank that can cause minute air bubbles under the decal that causes the cloudiness. It is safer to apply one coat first. I you would like, Call me tomorrw at 931.561.5096
