Hi All,
We should have the place down here draped in black. Chase is gone and he will be sorely missed. His last day was Saturday at the open house. We fished Tampa Bay Sunday with Chase and friends to give him a proper send off. We enjoyed a beautiful day out on the water with lots of fish & laughter.
We had the pleasure of having Chase on board for 7 years. He came in as a fresh fac

Hi Tim,
What size knots are you using? : ) That must be one @#$%& of a knot. You will eventually see our new Medium Ring Lock Tops in 12 and 16 rings but for right now we have the mold manufacturer so busy he can't keep up. Look for them next year but anything below a size 10 tube will not be offered. We look at demand and frankly with the advent of braid these larger rings are in less and les

Hi Rolly, We had to trim somewhere. We looked at sales for the last three years and the numbers were low and trending down on the black and blue. We sold twice as many TiCH/Blue guides except for the Turbo's which we shall continue to stock. If you really want them our distributors can special order them in any style you like. Joe

Thanks for the enthusiasm! The larger sizes are long overdue. We're just figuring out if the exposed blank is possible without sacrificing comfort.

Hi Mike I spec'd out the NITT tops to have TiCH so they all should have that finish now and in the past. We're looking at the end of August on the Holo Typhoons. We've got so much clogging the pipeline it is taking longer than usual to get our orders sorry for the delay. Joe

Thanks Tim I hope everything is to your liking. We appreciate you giving us a try. You won't be disappointed.
Steve we are still working on the tooling for the NIRLA's. It has been tough getting it right. Titanium doesn't like being bent like SS so it takes a lot of creativity. We should have them soon however. I'll check again and let everyone know.
As for the Aero we were just discussin

The directions are right on our site.
American Tackle Vetre Matrix Handle Instructions
The Vetre handle is really very easy to attach to the blank. You don't mount anything to the blank accept
the reel seat with the EVA front winding check in place.
• Slide the fully assembled handle (minus the winding check but with the EVA butt plug in place),
up on to the blank where you want it pos

This is one of my hot buttons. What everyone should do is assume nothing. Tell your customer up front what to expect. There are many very experienced fishermen that don't know the rights and wrongs when using a fishing rod. We need to do a better job of educating them including me. They may act like they know what they're doing but most don't. You're the expert not them.
Tell them exactly wha

Hi Tom, Where did you see them? The only rods they're on are Duckett's so unless you've seen the rod you haven't seen these guides yet. The pictures on our site are a mistake!! The new ones will be up next week. Sorry about that. Joe

Just saw your post it is a Fuji. I didn't know Fuji had a titanium tube/frame. Do you have to buy it in Japan? I don't know if AR stocks it.
Anyway I'd like to find a source on titanium tubing I know it is out there no one seems to either want to find it or can find it. You need special equipment to weld it. That is the only way we'll do it. I don't think welding a titanium frame to ss or bra

Che, The light AT841-3 has a 6-12 line and 1/8-3/8 lure. It is a fast action 44 million modulus blank with a 4.5 tip and a .502 butt weighing 2.2 oz. Available in matte clear. It might be a little heavy for you. It has a mag taper so it is a bit on the heavy side of 3/8 lure. It may be a little underrated. Joe AT

I might add it was the most difficult mold to make to date. We almost gave up. It took a year to get it right. We use a very very strong ridged Titanium that doesn't like to be bent. It was our last try and we finally got it right. We have or had tooling to be built for 5 new series of guides or tops coming in May. The NIRLA's tooling will be built next month and will ship in June. Joe American T

Hi Jason,
That is the standard style top non-Ring Lock. The new top has the Ring Lock frame and the snaggless design. it is a completely new top not in stock yet. I have a few samples on my desk. I'll send some down to FL to get pics taken.
As for titanium it makes little sense to us to build a titanium ring frame and tack it to a SS or brass pipe. The welds oxidize and eventually break. F

We in the US are getting so much spam on Russian brides etc any email with either word in it goes directly to my spam folder. Also I'm sure IP's are blocking certain URL's from Russia. We have a tough time sending email into Korea because our old host was tagged for spam.

Hi Guys,
We just finished up the tooling and shipped the Ring Lock 316ss 4mm micro top to Boyd Duckett. They will be in stock the last week in May. We will stock sizes 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5 and 6 in both DuraLite and NanoLite rings with chrome and Black chrome. We'll have NanoLite rings in TiCH and Hard Chrome (to match the Titans). There is talk of making a 6.5 and 7 but we are still debating it.

Ahh yes I will never forget that show! What humble beginnings. Look at it today, it is amazing. I was expecting the foot traffic to be down with the economy the way it is. I was amazed at the volume of people. It was nonstop. I'm glad to be back. I always come out of the shows pumped. Thanks again Tom and all the attendees.
