I have built a couple of spinning rods using Tom's tutorial on New Concept Guide placement on this website. The rods have worked quite well. I used Fuji Alconite New Concept guides.(BYAG) I have read and reread the recent articles in Rodmaker, and understand pretty well how to place, space and test the guides. One thing is not clear to me is whether the spacing and placement guidelines

Tommy, Your Email was hidden, so I am replying here. I did not put CP on the bottom layer. I used white NCP with black. I did put 2 coats of CP on the top layer. I think I should have put only one on, as the threads really got darker. I put the thread finish epoxy (Flex coat) on yesterday, and it looks pretty good. I am in the process of making my first tiger wrap. I have the first layer completely done, and the second layer is ready to put the finish on. It has been wrapped and the sacificial thread has been removed. I have white and Black as the base threads, and royal blue as the second thread.
