Who is responsible for alignment? 1 dbl ft 12 with a three loop metallic thread trim band each end. 7 single foot with same trim and A thread one end only no se

And I quote from your previous post! I sincerely hope my diligent pursuit of this treasure will not impede my early acquistion of this museum piece. I am aware that the choice of the word "should" relieves you from suffering serious damages in civil court procedings. If you show up with a sample to tease all of us I may just have to turn Clyde loose in your booth! Your previous

Contractually I may exorcise my legal rights to obtain the first set for each year if they happen to show up in Charlotte. Please review the earlier post when you announced that they would be available in Charlotte. I did not complain, barter, negotiate or in any manner do anything but place my order immediately. I did not require such a glitzy cover nor am I not complaing about the increase i

The color palettes for waterslides are well understood by the folks at Decal Connection. When you attempt to use color over color the things may simply just vanish. The use of background thread underwraps is almost necessary when you apply colored decals. Gon Fishn

If you are going to mix orange with the black metallic you might want to consider testing the following. Orange is a pretty dull thread and hard to pack to keep from splotching. If you underwrap the area to be covered in orange with a silver metallic it really glitzes up the effect of the orange. Gon Fishn

Ream smaller to fit is the way to go. One little extra thing. If this is a graphite seat with no coating you will be fine. If it happens to be one of the new seats like the Forecast Textured seat be extra carefull when reaming. The texture coating will not ream out as particles and more than likely will leave a thin sheet like lip that you may or may not notice until you slide it in place. B

Those blotchy spots your are observing can be quite troublesome. They were born when you selected the color of thread to be wrapped over a specific blank color. If you are working on a matte black or gloss black blank you will have trouble with whites, orange, light red, pink, tan and a host of other lighter shaded threads. The blotching is caused by the threads allowing the underlying blank t

Rodbuilding is almost as bad as Tuna Fishing offshore on a 38 Ft Blackfin. Average cost per use day per year =~ $ 4,300 not counting fuel! This is approximately $ 3,000 more than a charter. Most rodbuilders should keep all accounting records completely hidden from CPA and spouse. Gon Fishn

Stan: Keith says he is all thumbs - Anyone who attempts to explain the nail knot in text without illustrations will end up "all screwed up"! My boudin is warming and I have a few minutes so here goes! How about - Drape a two foot piece of metallic thread over the blank in the area of where you want the knot placed. Pick up something long slender with a hole in the right end.

Both methods with practice become quite easy. For the nail knot with metallics - crossings on bottom - tighten with pressure applied at 90 degrees to rod blank (same direction as loops) with firm constant pressure - Cut with tag about an inch long - dot with CP using dental explorer - let stand an hour - trim ends close with cuticle nipper. You can learn to do the nail knot in a few seconds.

The application of a tiny drop of finish past the single foot guide frame on locking wraps or in tunnel areas is done by stopping the rpm with the slip clutch when needed. After watching someone do it a time or two will give you all the information you need to develop the skills needed. One real neat thing is after you figure out how it works you will no longer find the need to apply more finis

Dear Mr. Dear: The first time I ever noticed the "polished" surface on blanks is when I got home with the "pile" jerked from your garbage can in Charlotte last year. The real thing I am trying to figure out are they an intermediate step in the blank manufacturing process or does this finish come from additional work. Should they be cheaper or more expensive? I hones

If you ever get a chance to watch someone using the Flexcoat set up at 200 you will be blown away by the simplicity of applying finish. The finishing department at Allstar in Houston can do a complete 7 foot blank including a small butt decal covering in less than eight seconds. All of a sudden the problem with clean edges on guide wraps vanishes. The initial investment in finishing at high spe

Boy, this will be an off the wall answer to this thread. At present I prize blanks that have had all the finish removed. Lamiglas is presently featuring a "polished" blank that has absolutely no finish at all. The dull "sanded" appearance will not scratch at all and will match almost any thread color that you desire to use. I don't know what kind of blanks you have but one

If your flight is late you need to consider just how important a few minutes really are. The cab fare is a flat $ 19 one way but it takes about 15 minutes for the trip. You may have a serious anxiety attack while waiting for the Shuttle. If you consider all you might miss you may want to schedule a helicopter to meet you at the gate and fly you directly to the roof of the Convention Center. I
