Chris, I cant go to far into it as it would give to much info to our competitors. It is a design change we made in both the material and build to give that blank more strength while keeping the action and flex where we wanted it. Any more than that would give away to much so others could copy it. We have seen more and more competitors try to copy our blanks. It is a change to other 3k Matrix

It depends a lot on the application of the build. The bigger the runners the easier it is to pass a leader knot however if you are not doing that then I don't see why going down to a 8mm would be an issue. You would have to buy the other runners extra as the MW50 is a set.
