I noticed you have listed “MED” power blanks. I fish the Rainy River in northern Minnesota in the spring. We typically use up to 1/2-3/4oz jigs. I built a Rainshadow eternity 6’8” M specifically for this. It is an incredibly light and sensitive blank that easily handles 3/4oz jigs with live bait or plastic even though is is rated for 1/4oz-5/8oz. Can’t comment on how it would handle

I bit the bullet and ordered the Phenix blank. Will be assembled with PAC Bay minima guides. I’ll report results when it’s complete

For what it’s worth, I have a MB733 x-ray blank that I haven’t built yet. Was planning on building a spinning rod for jig fishing walleye. I typically use 1/8oz to 3/8 ox and 6 lb line. This blank “feels” like it’s is more powerful and slightly stiffer then comparable St Croix MLF blanks I have built on. It does seem very crisp and sensitive as advertised but as I said, it is not complete yet

Hello all.
Has anyone here built on this blank? I typically build 7ft St Croix 5sml for jig fishing walleye but always looking for the next great thing lol. Curious about their lure weight rating (1/16-1/2oz) this seems like a big spread. Any other power comparisons out there between the St Croix 5S and the Phenix 713ml?
Thanks in advance
