I sanded with 240, 600, and 1500 grit. I first did it dry and then I wet sanded. Should I touch up the scratches and use permagloss? Thanks.

Because I went to auto zone and I bought a can of dupli color primer and a can of paint. But the finish is a little soft, dried well but if I scrape my fingernail across it chips fairly easy.

I would like to paint a rod and like to know what you guys use? I've asked a few people, they recommend an automotive spray paint. I'd like to hear from my fellow rod crafters. Thanks in advance!

I'm not an expert builder but I find if I mix 2-2.5ml of each is enough for an average 7ft rod for the first coat.

Don I own a xc732 that I use for saltwater fishing for tautog, for your 5-20lb you can use the 732 or the 802, for anything over 40lbs I would use the 733 or the 803. With 2oz-4oz sinkers use the 732 or 802.

I picked up an older shimano teramar rod which I want to rebuild, I would like to know if besides flex coat perma gloss, is there's something else that I can use that's more user friendly but durable. Thanks in advance.
