13- 13'6" are very poplular with the heavers. CTS Makoi makes some of the finest. For me (i'm not a heaver, just a long time surfcaster, 15' is too long, 12' to short. So I prefer the numbers in between. Don't have a CTS yet, but I'm getting there. Nothing too stiff either. I like to see a nice wide curve when I look over my shoulder in the rod. Best show in the Northeast. Merrick always has something new up it's sleeve. This year look for some actual CTS Makoi blanks on display. For those who have not held, or seen a CTS Makoi blank, the latest models will be featured. All of you heavy lead distance casters will love these puppies. I am sure there will be some other unique and interesting items, with Merrick being the largest mos

Arcane Pearsall's Gossamer 6/0 and Arcane Pearsall's Naples 4/0 ( larger diameter than the Gossamer). Really cool silk thread. Of course there is Fishawk (Fuji company) and Gudebrod silk, but since prices are not much different, go with the Arcane Gossamer or Naples. Recommend it, and we sell it. We have all kinds of reels available, not just the ones on our website. Also, don't be fooled into thinking the big box Cabelas, Bass Pro will cost you less just because of their size. It's because many believe that because they are a big operation, they must have lower prices and spend more than they have to without even checking in with a local dealer. I have seen on numerous occasions where

If you call Penn, they will tell you exactly what guide was used, and can probably get it from them. I've got some Captive spinning rods hanging around, and the rod is made in China. Probably made with all Chineas no name components, since those rods were part of a combo set Penn was selling. Want the whole rod for the guides? Call me toll free, great price, would love to get it out of he

Shikari makes 1 telescoping handle blank, although probably not what you are looking for. Model PFS-764X. It's a Bass Flipping blank and is probably a bit to light for Musky. Just wanted to mention it in case. Tica makes some handle telescoping Musky rods (pre-made), 60M modulus blanks on them. We have got 7'6, 8'0, 8'6. They are samples that ran through the dealer shows. Hi Mike: Yes, you can mix and match whatever you want. Sizes, colors etc. I would suggest it be an even amount of grips though -:) If your mix and match includes a 5/8" ID, you will get the lower costing grip free, say if you combined a 5/8" and a 1/2" Give me a call though I'm quite flexible, if that arises. Kind Regards, Peter Maltby ACK Fishing & Tackle LLC

These are the real facts about the colored EVA that WE sell. Billy and Tom's musings may apply to brands of other colored EVA, but not ours. Of course if you bore too much out of it, you are likely to find it a little soft. Kind of makes sense. Let's not over bore (no pun intended) Our colored EVA (all colors, including white) are the same density as the black EVA. It is the highest grad
