Hi, This has nothing to with rod building but wanted to share this free tippet sample event with fly fishers in the forum. Hitena presented completely new fly tippet material last week at FFI fly fishing show at Boise, ID which we believe is totally changing fly tippet market soon. Now, we are giving away 6m cut sample tippet for trial as we have done with our wrapping threads. If interested,

Hi Everyone, STwrap - Nylon Wrapping Thread AAA size is available now. This thread was produced exactly the same as our nylon wrapping thread but we expect they will find more home in fly tying. Our AA size has been widely used by casual fly tyers due to it's stretch and we were asked to supply thinner ones for fly tying. As a wrapping thread originally, it's a twist thread and non-waxed. When it comes to color fastness under UV, it's also widely understood polyester is better than nylon but that's not true - again not much to do with material but how it was dy

As Herb mentioned, our thread diameter used to be told thick in sample stage and we made it a little thinner on production but now some people feedback it's thin. Every producer has different size standard in thread and they are different by CP/NCP, even by colors within the same type. Also it's almost impossible to measure thickness correctly coz there is no standard on how much pressure to be a

HI Frankie, If you didn't do it yet. What abt our Stwrap AA size for your bank tip? It's designed for fly rods, underwrap and tip wrapping with much thinner diameter than A size. It's nylon thread and will absorb epoxy very nicely. Thanks.

Hi Everybody, We have been telling you don't need to spend time doing extra work to hide thread end when you finish wrapping with STwrap, Looks not many people know abt this yet so we have a very quick video here. You will see slight pulling of the thread upon razor cut will have the bud simply disappear under the wrap due to STwrap's stretch and elasticity and nothing left to be done. Take a
