What is the best way to fill in a rod with a 5/8 OD fiber glass solid rod to fit a aluminum 19 inch trolling butt with reel seat and rod going thru to the butt ? I'm sure duct tape is not the answer. Thanks for any help. Dick Zrudsky

After many years of building rods I need help. Having to build several rods with "rod thru to gimbal" using a rod with a 5/8 OD. What is the best way to fill in the rod to fit the space between the rod and the aluminum butt for strenght???. I'm sure duct tape is NOT the answer. Any and all suggestions would be helpful. Thanks for any help.

Trying to locate 9mm and up to 15mm butt plugs. The ones that go inside the rod and leave a rubber bounce side outside. Can some one help. Thanks Dick Zrudsky

Can anyone refer me to a good glue that will allow RUBBER butt plugs to stay attached? I have tried epoxy, contact cement, rubber glue. Many times they fall off after usage of about 3 to four months. Thanks Dcik Zrudsky

I have used masking tape but it leaves glue marks on the rear grip.I have also inverted the first several turns then left the sticky side out . Seems to work a little better. I am working on a devise that works great on rods with a 1/2 ID but the smaller rods 3/8 to 1/4 can't make it small enough. Thanks for the reply Dick Zrudsky

Does anybody have a good suggestion about not leaving grip marks from a chuck when wrapping guides. To loose it spins, to tight and the chuck leaves impressions on the rear grip. There must be something on the market that can be inserted into the blank without hurting the rear grip Any suggestion would be helpful.
