I need to replace a guide on a GLoomis GLX MBR783C. The other guides on this rod are silver/chrome and have a black insert. Do all Fuji guides have the size of the guide stamped on the foot? This one does not have a size stamped on it. Do manufacturers always use the same brand or do they go for the low bid? Try using a finishing abrasive buff (item 511) on your Dremel tool. The buff will gradually and gently remove the epoxy, even if you have cork fragments embedded in the epoxy. If the blank retains some of the chalky color then apply a coat or two of U-40 Perma Gloss. I am too clumsy to use sharp objects, files, heat or high explosive liquids around graphite and found the buffing wheel to be a go

I prefer to build the cork handle on the blank. I can not figure out how to use the rubber/cork ring and the little rubber plug to finish off the handle. When the rubber/cork ring is glued on before turning the cork it is difficult to get it centered and the mandrel enlarges the whole for the rubber plug. I am also not smart enough to use the S. Croix handle kit that has the cone shaped plug. The
