After removing from the refrigerator, I allow my permagloss to reach room temperature before I open the bottle. I want to avoid any condensation of moisture from ambient air inside the bottle.
Truth be told, I don't know if it makes any difference.

Heads up if you go with SeaGuide rollers. They list five sizes in their catalog but both the #5 and the #4 guides are double roller design, the #4 is just smaller than #5 giving you two options for the size of the stripper. The illustration of the guide set in the SeaGuide catalog makes it look as if the #4 guide is single roller-- it is not.

Aleks,
-This is a real improvement over the PDF version especially the "click-able" feature.
-Even using the search feature I'm unable to find in the catalog, two blanks which appear on NFC's order page, SA 1066-2 (IM) and SA 1067-2 (IM).

Agreed Spencer, this has always been my opinion too. But I just reminded myself that in the past, only on rare occasion mind you (chuckle), I have been known to be wrong.

Thanks Herb, my thoughts on salmon blanks for surf rods mirror you words.
But then I read Edge rods description of their BWC SAR 1065

I'm looking to build a 10-1/2 ft plugging rod for striped bass in the surf and thinking that NFC might have a suitable blank. At least 90% of the time it will be used for wooden pencil poppers, little necks, spooks, darters, and metal lip swimmers, 2 to 3-1/2 ounces. Casting distance is often important.
I'm hoping that someone having used one of NFC's salmon blanks for a surf rod can post their

Rodger, great minds really do think alike. We both use nearly identical methods.
- All the caps that I've recently received from various different rod component suppliers, have internal ribs that run longitudinally, i.e. tip/butt direction.
The lengths / heights of these caps are all about 2". The OD's are all the same, tapered 1 1/4" to 1 3/8". These are available in three or

I'm down to my last one and I can't find them listed anywhere, I see only the ribbed ones.
The length was approx. 2"
The O.D. was 1-1/4"
They came in various I.D.'s - 3/4" 7/8" and 1"
Because of the heavy wall thickness, I was able to turn them down so that the outside diameter would be a good match for smaller diameter rear grips.
They were also perfect for the
