I need a bit of help identifying a guide on a rod that I'm repairing ... it is a Diawa flipping rod (short collapsible section at the butt) with a counter-weighted grip, guides near the tip are single-foot, solid frame, gold in color. Everything that I've found that looks similar are fly guides. Anybody have any ideas?

Hello again - I am building a 7' hvy spinning rod for a friend, and he wanted to have one of the above reel seat/handle combinations installed on the rod. After a lot of looking and head-scratching, I'm trying to figure out how to best go about installing it on the rod. The cork handle is inletted for the reel seat, and my normal order-of-operations won't work (mount cork, build up bushings for

My issue, I'm using an eva grip, and the ID is smaller than the diameter of the rod butt ... What is the best way for me to install the rear grip and in

Hello all. I've just completed a 7' heavy action worm rod for my wife's brother-in-law. I wrote on the scuffed blank with gel pens and Sanford slim tip metallic marker, but when I tried to put the finish on, everything smeared. I'd let the inscriptions dry/set for over a week prior to finishing. Luckily, I was able to clean everything off with a bit of acetone, but I can't help but think that
