Here is another snakeskin I was able to salvage..this was a roadkill that was given to me by a friend..I am so glad I am able to put these skins to good use, instead of ending up in a trashcan !!..This skin has exceptional markings..rodblank is a St.Croix Legend Elite !!

Here is a "trashcan" copperhead skin that I was able to salvage and put it to good use !!..it was 4inches at the widest point which is large for a copperhead skin and the markings are awesome !!

Just hate to throw anything out..so,I made this Tennessee Handle from scrap cork that I had accumulated...it is on a St.Croix 7ft light spinning rod...and of course, it is for crappie fishing !!

Here is a rod that was returned and I was told that the rodblank splindered the first day it was used, when bringing in a fish!! Up to this point I had never seen a rodblank splinter like this !!I find it hard to believe this story !!

Work In Progress!!!..found this can on the road, (cleaned it first )it had been semi-crushed..straightened it out with a hammer... Be careful when cutting a can, it is razor sharp !! These are absoleutly fun to build !!

Took several beer cans, using a surgical scissors,cut and trimmed, the Coors logo pattern, used contact cement to hold pieces in place..some edges would not lay flat,so I had to reglue,and held them down with my finger..appx.30minutes.. It was a fun rod to build !!

Am.Tackle Matrix 8 wgt. flyrod, with copperhead handle !! My brother always refers to himself as " My Incredible Brother" so I named the rod after him !! The fun part is...he doesn't have a clue, that I built it for him !! That's what's makes custom rodsbuilding so fun !!
