My first use of polyurethane foam / carbon fiber sleeve grip material. I left the texture bumpy which I think I will like on the water. Ready for the upcoming nor-Cal rockfishing season.

This is one of the Calstar BTG870 blanks built for kayak fishing in So. Cal, specifically for fishing for Yellowtail and White Seabass in tight to the kelp with spectra line and sawing through it when necessary. All Fuji titanium guides, Batson EasyTight reel seat, Rod Ring is used to provide a connection for a leash / hook keeper. Acid wrapped. The BTG blanks are a nice addition to Calstar's

This is a 60-100# acid roller rod designed for the larger end of the pacific halibut spectrum. Gold AA Acid roller guides with Batson Easytight reel seat. Foregrip is rubberized cork "rail rod grip" covered with x-shrink tube. Custom decals etc.

Rainshadow SWS70MH extended to 7'6". Lime and gunmetal metallic tiger wrap. Titan Ringlock guides acid wrapped. Extended foregrip for floatation (kayak rod). This rod was donated to a raffle to support the Coastside Fishing Club hosted by Nor Cal Kayak Anglers.

Thanks to Scott Throop for sharing his tiger wrap technique. I had to give it a try... I likey. Calstar 700ML acid wrapped with Fuji SiNII guides and X-flocked shrink tubing over EVA grips and Aftco ARS1M reel seat. Coupled with ProGear CS501 reel with 50# Suffix braid. Tiger wrap is made with underwrap of black and metallic sage green, overwrap of gunsmoke metallic.

This is a Rainshadow SW967F made for kayak fishing. Extended to 8'3", rear grip is farily short for reeling in the seated position. Foregrip is extended to provide floatation. The rod will float with an ABU 6500 plus approximately a 2 oz lure. Acid wrapped with all Fuji titanium guides and TMNST tip.

Lamiglas NZ842M two-piece spinning rod with Fuji Titanium guides (THVSG & TNSG) and top (TMNST), Cobra Graphite NPS reel seat, split grips, and subtle tiger wrap. Entire rod weighs only 7.8 oz. Lots of power in an extremely light package.

A treat for myself (for once). This blank has a nice moderate action that works well for rockfish/ling cod jigging with spectra line. All titanium including tip top from Japan. Merry Christmas to me! Colors are Gudebrod Rust, Gold, Glitzy Gold Metallic, and Tan size A was used to fill in the tartan instead of the usual white. Total rod weight approx 10.5 oz.

Moocks' new rod. Rainshadow SU1386 11'6" surf rod with Fuji TLCSG Titanium Frame / SiC ring guides and TMNST Titanium Framed SiC tip. Coupled with Daiwa Basia long spool reel and 30# powerpro. Fuji NPS20 reel seat. All the guides (6 plus tip) together weigh only 0.5 oz. Colors are Gudebrod Black, Dark Green, and Glitzy Gold.
