So I keep finding blanks that I bought over a decade ago at the expo. This one has the following:
22mm butt
2.9 mm tip
It's 6'11-1/2" long.
At the butt, the wall thickness is 3.25mm.
The color is black.
Most of the label is gone, but the start of the marking was "WC"
Any ideas?

If you're going to be cutting allot of blanks, you might want to consider one of these jigs. They are commonly used in bike shops with a fine tooth hack saw for cutting carbon fiber tubes (like handle bars & steerer tubes). Masking tape is typically used (like described above), & take care not to crush the tube when clamping.

Is there any practical difference in wrapping with nylon vs Poly thread? So far, everything I've actually wrapped rods with has been nylon based (reg & NCP), I see some poly stuff on mud hole & wondered if it's better/worse/same.
I bought some outdoor appolstry thread at the local fabric store just to mess around with and that stuff was so slippery & stiff that it wouldn't stick to

"It's an All-Star flipping stick...MH/MF"
Thanks.
Any thoughts about how ill advised it would be to build it as a spinning rod?

Hello all,
1st post here.
So about a decade ago, I went to the ICRBE & grabbed several blanks from the trash cans. Not too long after, I stopped fishing for a while & I just discovered a few blanks hanging in the garage.
The one I'm most interested in has the following marking on a label near the but: GFS827T. I assume the FS stands for Flipping Stick & the 82 pretty well m
