Good stuff, looking for personal reviews and opinions on their product. To many industry leaders do not think they need to innovate more.

Good day Sam, Lots of talk of Hitena coming back, yet no official response from Hitena. I found some more of their thread on another site a month or so ago. They do have a very unique product, I would suspect they plan on coming back due to demand.

Well tis a journey for sure. It has been a good one, yet I am still looking for more on the 7th layout on a first time spinning build. Yes I do not wish to over think it but I believe there is still more in distance to get out of this steelhead build.

Hey Les, Been following you around on the 3+1, or Oddball Modified Reduction Train as I am calling it. Wanted to ask you have you come to any conclusions about actual casting distance with a lure? Maybe something like a buzz bait that does not fly too well or light and catches wind. That is the only difficult thing I have now with the KL-H stuff. Maybe I am wishing for something that is

I have been watching some other posts and thoughts, one thing pointed out was the type of braid being used. The newer PE braids are super supple and I believe one may be able to get away with placing the guides further out. Rod Builds are getting so technique specific it is difficult to get them to that epitome performance levels using different lines and styles of fishing. I have always be

I have some new T2 MNTT Micro Tops and noticed they are welded were the tang comes off the end by the tube hole. So I thought I had some defective ones. Started looking at my supply and found a GMMNST in a ring size 8 and it's not welded either. Are all the MN tops not welded? Thought this was the way of the world.

Epoxy likes a 80 grit finish for adhesion, I would score all bonding surfaces just prior to application, Clean first with DNA.

C6o2, they are very light, they do not sand them so as to not make a thin wall. I have one to build. They are all fairly noodly in the top section. Cast a light bait great, have lots of power in the bottom, wonder how that $600.00 surf blank is.

I am holding back 2 of those builds due to my thoughts on the need for a different type of shim. IMHO the tape will deaden the sensitivity. Always looking for more.....

Using the KL H can be quite the journey. I went down to the river a couple days ago to do some test casting and was greeted 15 minutes later with a couple of guys using the latest and greatest store bought rods they could most likely find. Both gents had at least 2 rods in their arsenal, All the rods were dated in technology by at least 15 years. New Concept Guide Train systems. By the 3rd

I am of the sentiment of all the posters on this thread. Am I a NFC customer, you bet. Am I looking at other Manufactures of Blanks, you bet. The real conundrum of the negative posts is that it applies to all businesses. A bad apple at company will have wash down effects throughout the company as a whole. There leaves room for improvement in the CI dept, or aspect for anyone to improve and

Interesting no doubt I will order the Magazine, or a subscription. I am building a 9ft 8 in Steelhead rod right not and have been playing with the placement of Reduction Train and taking some slow motion video yet it is difficult at best the get a good video of the line one handed. I was trying to follow another thread about the KR concept with KL H guides and got confused about all the mispl

Try the Trondak products, slow cure time and longer pot life I believe. Their Permagloss for coating blanks is awesome! I use D2 or Gen 4 for the thread wraps.

Why not just go with Torzite? They are the lightest and most durable not to mention are easiest on the line. I have a casting rod with Torzites and monofilament that has been on there for a year now. Line still almost looks new due to the smoothness of the Torzite ring.

AYE! Yes I have done a few. The product coming from USA factory is way thicker in the wall I believe. You can use the white/tan urethane arbors available from most supply houses. Make sure to scuff the interior surface with 60/80 grit paper and clean well. One could even scape / cut lines into the arbor to give room for the epoxy a reservoir to for torsion bonding characteristics. I do

First, it is all decorative. Second, assuming you're speaking of the Aluminum Colored Checks. Epoxy does not like that finished surface as a glue point. If used you will need to scuff the inside diameter to achieve a solid bond, think 80 or 60 grit Dremel Sanding drum tool. I am no expert, yet this is the best guidance I have received.
