Hey Scott, I like the idea of this product. How much does it weigh compared to cork? That is usually the biggest downside of composite cork grips. Do you have any weights for the grips? Thanks, Abe

Anyone have any tips for keeping EVA foam grips like new for years of fishing? Is there any product like cork seal for cork handles that might help repel dirt, blood, fish slime, etc? Also, I can't seem to get any results for searching acronyms like NFC or EVA, whether I use caps or lower case, quotes or no quotes. Is this normal? Thanks, Abe

Hey all, don't mean to stir anything up like the last NFC blank question :-) Just curious if anyone has experience with this blank (or the ST-933), which is on sale right now. Its rated as Med-Light...just curious how stiff the butt section is. For comparison, I have a NFC LMX FAF909 (which is a fly blank of course). Just curious if the butt of the ST-993 is stiffer than the butt of the FAF

Yeah, I gotcha...seems like you could throw some shrink wrap over the guides and then align them while the epoxy is still workable, though?

Has anyone ever epoxied guides to the blank with structural epoxy before thread wrapping? If there is concern for guides popping out and if destructive tests show starvation under the guide feet, why isn't this a common practice? Just curious...? Abe

Hey Tyler, I don't know, but I'd love to hear from someone who has experience with this blank. Looks like an awesome blank. I wish there were more 2-piece options...seems like every mid range and up fly blank is a 4 piece. Honestly, there are times I'd be tempted to deal with the inconvenience of a one piece over the added weight and additional ferrules of a four-piece. I almost never fly wit

David - just curious how you like your NFC LMX 8wt? I just ordered an 8wt and 9wt with the current sale. I've never built or cast an NFC blank before - actually I was looking at a Batson Revelation - but decided to try the NFC based on the sale price.

Hey Rick, how did this rod turn out? I’m considering building on this blank but I’ve never fished an NFC Spey blank.

Thanks Spencer and David - I've seen those. I guess I wasn't clear on my original post, I'm looking for a longer barrel that I could cut to the desired length and mount both hoods on. I could use the shorter barrels with a spacer in between, but I'm hoping to find something longer. Thanks! Abe

Hi all, first post here. I'm looking for a 6"+ threaded barrel that will accept a standard fuji threaded hood. I'd like to have threaded hoods on both ends instead of an uplocking or downlocking seat, so I can balance a rod without adding weight. Preferably carbon fiber, but nylon/graphite or aluminum is ok. I've seen a picture on a custom surf rod so I know someone somewhere is maki
