As a coatings chemist I would treat frozen CP like I would treat the paint we make. If you suspect freezing the best check is a thin layer cast on glass. Once dry look for particles or streaks cast by hard junk. Don't confuse anf dried air bubbles with gel particles. If coagulated at all you have obviously kicked-out something. Does this hurt CP performance, no clue, but $ loss isn't woth it. So

Moving on to wood handles. Where is the best place/$ to get CA glue/finish? I called the better wood craft stores up here in the Twin Cities with nothing on the shelf. I see places on the net, but am figuring there is a prefered supplier.

Having made a few decent rod wraps with the standard nylon A size thread, I moved into weaving. Home made V shaped loom. After 3 attempts I have an ok looking result. Tightness is good and threads not too frayed. Pattern is 50 threads wide by 120 long or so, lots of single left/right maneuvers. My first questions is, are there different types of threads better suited for weaving?

Using EVA grips for the first time. Gluing up a ring design. Q1. Planning on using solvent type contact cement, no? Q2. Anything better than shaping with sandpaper?

New to rod building and thinking about some weaving now. Where can I find reasonable priced weave patterns? I work mostly on light action walleye rods, 0.4 butt diameter +, so that should limit me, but 30-40 threads wide is still ok ,no?
