Same here. Herb is the man.
Regarding the rod(s), both the 2wt and 3wt Euro-X are fantastic. Super light in the hand, can feel everything, and fast recovery on casting. Highly recommend!

I wonder how different they feel? Or why they made the change?
I built out the two Euro-X models last year, and they are aces!
Thanks Herb.

I have been using Martin's in white - works well and does not bleed or run with FlexCoat.

I've built two of the nymph rods and one lime-green fiberglass 7' 3wt. Nice for the price. The nymph rods fish quite well. One that I built is a matte black which I did with solid green wraps. I kinda like that one.

I bought the CTS 2wt and 3wt (both 10'-6") from Herb. Not completely built yet, (obviously haven't fished them yet as getting their handles/reel seats today) but they feel fantastic. They are beautifully built. I would also add that Herb is great to deal with - I will be purchasing from him again.

I am sure folks have asked before, but I am terrible at choosing these. I have a pair of "Urban Green" glossy CTS Nymph rods to build, and am wondering what would be a good color choice. (Blank, think kind of forest green).
I have some green jasper-type thread, but perhaps just a nice black. Any ideas welcome, sorry if has been covered a dozen times before. I did pull up some similar t

I wasn't personally a fan of the iridescent one, so I have done my last 3 graphite fly rods with Dr. PH Martin Bombay India Ink in white. I let it dry for a full 24 hours and Flex Coat

I prefer to fill and condition mine with fish slime and general hand oils. :)
