I have built lot's and lot's of freshwater rods, Light Salt Water Rods and quite a few Heavier Salt Rods now I'm gonna get a chance on a Surf Rod, Since I've never fished with a Surf Rod I claim a little ignorance. Hello all, I was just wondering, Some of the repairs I do, especially saltwater rods, When I go to clean them I either use soapy water or alcohol, but that doesn't always work. What else can Ya'll suggest

Leonard, I've done this also and totally agree with the other three Gentlemen. When I'm doing rod repairs I mix a certain amount of finish anyway and I go ahead and spruce up the rest of the rod

Hi Robert I don't know how helpful my opinion will be because I'm kinda stuck on how awesome the MicroWave guides look, the fact that its a complete system and I don't have to think to hard. Also there is no comparison as far as I'm concerned that can match them. There are so many types that will match just about anything you can come up with. Again my opinion is probably biased
