Oh yes, I know those are very good ... have used those plenty of times. The customer is adamant about getting recoils though.

Herb,
Yes, that was the plan. lol. Was thinking of doing RSG in 10 and 6 and then the RSPG's in 5 all the way to the end followed by the tip top.
I've never used recoils before so I'm not familiar with advantages/disadvantages quite yet.
Could you suggest something that might work better for the type of build I've highlighted? Would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Herb,
I plan on using the REC RSCT Recoil Spin/Cast Top, size 5.
Customer uses braid, 20lb test.

Hey Everyone,
Needing some help on a recoil guide setup for a 7' medium inshore setup.
Normally I use all fuji and would build as follows: KW10, KW5.5, KB5.5, KB5.5, KT5.5, KT5.5, KT5.5, KT5.5, KT5.5
Looking at starting with the REC doublefoot 10 and build out much like the fuji build.
Doublefoot 10, doublefoot 6, and then single foot 5's all the way to the end.
How would this set

Thanks Michael,
He just normally flat lines when trolling. I talked to him today and he already has several light setups so he defintiely wants to go with the medium 10-17 pound test blank.
As far as the handle, are you normally putting a few extra inches along with a longer foregrip?
My plan is to have a 9 inch full cork handle, VSS fuji real seat and a 2-3 inch foregrip. Do you see

Roger,
Appreciate the feedback! Would you move down to the RDR70L since they are using 6# test mono or will the RDR70M be a good choice? The client has asked for a medium but I think in this case , the RDR70L would be a better option for how he's using it. Will take your advice since you have much more experience with this blank than I!

Hey all,
I know this topic has been posted about but wanted to see if I can get a little bit more specific info.
I live on the gulf coast and 95% of my builds are for inshore purposes. Have a client that lives in the mid west and wants a walleye trolling rod.
Don't have much experience with this type of build.
Here are the specifics the client has asked for:

Hey Everyone!
Quick question.... what is your favorite reel seat/handle to build with when the application is chunking live bait and popping corks.
Alternatively, what do you like to use when building a light lure/topwater rod?
Interested to see what everyone's go-to is.
Thanks!

Yessir ... I've used the RX7 and Revelation series blanks ... they are great.
But I was just looking for some info/opinions on the RX6 rods since I have yet to build on those.
Also looking for a more static/consistent price for a blank. (Really don't want to rely on blanks going on sale in order for it to make sense)
Thanks!

Hello Everyone,
Hope all is well during these quarantining times!
Just wanted to see if anyone regularly builds on this blank. I can find lots of info on the RX7 and Revelation blanks but not much info on the RX6.
I'm needing to find a good universal rod blank for light inshore fishing (Popping Cork/Live Bait/Small swimbaits).
Couple questions that I have.
-Can you tell me how s

Thanks for the reply!
Your inference to the production companies is kind of where I was going with this.
Are these production companies (small or large) more likely using SCII graphite or SCIII graphite for their builds that will retail for $150-170 dollars in stores? Obviously they will be getting product at wholesale pricing.
Just trying to understand what type and quality of rod

Hey Guys,
Newbie here so forgive me if some of my questions have been covered. I've looked around in past history and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
Do you know of any Rod Companies that will use different blank manufactures for different product lines? Or do they try to use the same manufacturer for all their builds? Obviously, this question is for companies that do not produc
