Jordan,
I mainly use 1 to 1.5 ounce bouncers on it. Sometimes I go to and it handles it pretty good. I would think anything over 2 oz I would go MH

Bob,
I’m a walleye guy and bottom bouncing is my go to technique for them. Like you, I always have the rod in my hand. I have built a few on the Rainshadow immortal popping blank. IMMP76M. I prefer myself a 7-6” rod. This is a mod fast but I find the action to be perfect for this. They also have the in 7 foot too as well as med heavy. My personal rod is bait casting with a spiral wrap. Hey guys, I’m pretty new at building rods and my family and a few friends want me to build them some. Just wondering if you charge a flat rate for consumable materials? (Epoxy, thread finish, brushes, tape, mixing sticks/cups, tape etc..) Im not charging them any labor, so I was thinking $20 per rod. Is that fair? To much?

I’m looking at building a new rod for bottom bouncing walleye with a live bait lindy rig setup. Usually drift/troll anywhere from.8 to 1.5mph with either a 1 or 1 1/2 oz bouncer. I want to stay with a 1 piece 8’ blank. Has anyone used the popping style blanks for something like this? I’m thinking about the Rainshadow REVIP80M-SB. keep in mind I will not be casting with this rod
