Hello friends,
I am looking for blank suggestions for throwing 3/8 oz wiggle warts on a casting reel. I'm thinking this is probably on the light end of using a baitcaster, but I wanted to hear your opinions. I will be using it from a boat and trying to get the bait as deep as I can. Thanks in advance,
Brian

I’m going to be building a handful of rods this summer, are there any upcoming sales I should be looking for?

Being new to building I saw all the hype on this board and ordered 5 blanks from them this winter. Two of the X-Ray blanks were 3” short of the listed specs. I kept them. Two blanks arrived more than 3 months after the order date, but were close to specs. I cancelled the final blank after more than 4 months of waiting. Hi guys,
I’m looking to build a casting rod for throwing 3/8 to 1/2 ounce Z-man Jackhammer Chatterbaits for Largemouth Bass in the 1-3 pound range. It would be used around some wood structure (deadfalls or submerged timber). I plan on working the bait as you would with a swim jig and pairing it with a 6.6:1 reel. I’m okay with any length, power, or action you would recommend and price isn’

I’ve got an order for an X-ray blank from 10/26 that hasn’t shipped. I bought it when it was only 50% off. Yup October 26.

Bob,
Length isn’t too big of a deal to me, it’s wide open where I’ll be casting. Ideally 6’6 to somewhere in the 7’ range would be perfect.

Hello,
I’m looking for recommendations to build a spinning setup for 1/8-1/4 oz in line spinners like Mepps for smallmouth. It would be used for wading in a small river with very few casting obstructions. Most of the smallmouth would be under a pound with a three pounder being the largest I would come across. Price tag isn’t a problem, I’m looking for a rod to last a long time. Thank you
