Id be looking at stripper guide being at 113.2inches from tip. Jay. Tom fpr the 27x rule would i be using the width of the spool centerpin or the face size? Example width of spool would be around 1.25 to 1.5 inch where the face of the spool would be 4.5 to 5 in some cases. Thanks for responses

I just recently picked up the 12.6 CTS 3 to 6 2 piece blank amd was wondering if anyone had a guide spacing to start out static testing with. 27x rule im not sure really works for float rods. Im using alps titanium zirc guides. Sizes 20,16,12,10,then 8s running. Im assuming ill be using 12 or 13 guides plus tip on this build. My reels going to be about 8 to 10 inches to front of it from butt. 4.5

I cant turn it on my blank unless i make a support jig for the tailstock. Im turning float rods primarily and a 7/16 would be good with some reaming to fit. If you can get me a blue print for the rod support id look into that for sure. Thanks for the response

Wow great info ... looks like im going to just use a moris taper chuck with direct center and a mandrel. I just need to find a 7/16 18 inch mandrel with 60 degree tapers. Know where I could find one in ontario?

12. HELP!!! How do I get my blank into my wood lathe?

Hi I got myself a lathe to start spinning my own corks. My blank is too long to fit into it. Ive been told I can make a jig so itll fit. Its the bottom section of a 3 piece. I have a 37in shopcraft wood lathe. I cant seem to figure out how to post a pic of it. Please email me with some suggestions of possible. gossglen@roger
