It's really light and sensitive, and the 6'6" length is great not only for getting lighter stuff out there farther - but the fast (less whippy - as you mentioned) action still allows for great accuracy. Interesting idea - for me I think if I was looking for a type of all in one deal - I'd probably try to find a 2 piece rod that will do the job, and find an extra bottom segment. Probably can cheat the top running guides to work with either spinning or casting - but then you'd have two bottom pieces - one built for casting the other for spinning. Then again, I'd probably just build two rods....

We just moved it next to ROD BUILDING in case it was not easily seen before. So if you know what brand or series you want to look at, I would use that instead of the general rod blanks categor
