Hi guys keen to hear what everyone does to stop those annoying tiny bugs that seem to find fresh epoxy during the night when the lights are off and you've gone to bed happy with laying down a perfect last coat.... This morning one bug in the stipper guide! Had to be the stripper.. Not only stuck but had a swim to!
Might try one of those plug in insect killers. Re: Bugs in Epoxy :0

What kind of bug? If vinegar fly, offer vinegar on the other side of the room. Leave a small light (+ fly paper ) on on the other side of the room. Leave nothing in your working area to attract anything. Re: Bugs in Epoxy :0

Living in Florida I know where you are coming from. I wound up finding a place the house to do all my drying. In my house I have a 4 ft high x 6 ft long room divider in the entrance foyer.where we put keys mail etc. My solution for me is to set up my dryer on this divider and apply the finish. For the small number of rods I do this works fine. One has to be careful walking in the hall way for about 3 to 4 hours after that I pack up and no one knows I was there. For the rest of the operations I work in the garage.
If you are limited to a shop or garage that is not climate controlled you may have to look into one of the drying tents and make sure it is sealed during the drying cycle. John Re: Bugs in Epoxy :0

Hi Adam - some people use the CRB drying tent to protect against bugs and/or keep other debris off - others use it in combo with the heater to control temp.
If you want to check it out: Tent: [www.mudhole.com] Heater: [www.mudhole.com] Kit: [www.mudhole.com] Re: Bugs in Epoxy :0
