Just looking for high quality flor cork rings. I know it's a regular challenge but is anyone aware if Golden Witch is starting up again in 2024. They have rings still listed in inventory but obviously have been on hiatus since 2022.

Perfect. Thank you. I had no argument for doing it other than saw a few posts where guys mentioned they do it. 100% understand Tom's logic but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I've seen some posts suggesting using a tip top guide 1/2 size to 1 size larger ring. For example in my saltwater builds I will use size 8 running guides. Was planning to use a size 8 tip top. Would builders typically upsize to a size 10, more "case by case" depending on line, shooting head, etc., or otherwise not very common?

Thanks Tom. I'll play around with size/experiment. For starters will take a pair of calipers to the 4wt and 5wt floating lines.

Thanks Tom. Gonna use doubles for the 1/2 positions. Likely exclusively floating lines so will try the 5s and see if they will work. Appreciate the insight.

I'm still a novice and a lot of really good info on the forum but can't find much on single leg Fuji running guides.
Gonna do both a 5wt and 4 wt rod build and have limited experience regarding guides and sizes for freshwater. Also, if it makes sense I do prefer single foot Fuji where applicable over snake running guides.
Research suggests for the 5 wt TLKWTG size 12 and TLKWTG size

Thanks Tom. I'd say more often then not Fluro/mono 60 or 80 lbs. will be leader.
In terms of guides, like you I was thinking 1st three although not sure they qualify as 'high frame" - TKWTG 20 (28.6mm), 16 (21.2mm) and 10 (14.6mm). Then size 8 running guides. The N frame 8 was 12 mm in height. The TKWTG 8 is 12.3 mm and the newer and lighter TLKWTG 8 is 12mm - lighter but don't know

Gonna build two 14 weights for Bluefin tuna fishing on the west coast. Fish could be over 100 lbs. - gotta take what you can get. Blank is both "castable" and fish "fightable".
Starting with Fuji TKWTG.
Typically I would transition into TKTTG (used to use TLSG) for running guides. Should I stick with double foot for running guides and continue with TKWTG and not con

Tried to order some mandrels from Bingham. Initially got response to my email but took a few days. Now completely unresponsive by email and phone - several attempts. Does anyone know if they are in business?
Thanks,
Joe
