Thanks for all the advice.
I'm pretty sure i need to file the feet down more. I think I may look into getting a belt sander. I used a fine metal file.
Does it matter if I use A or D sz thread?
Thanks again for all the help.

Was still slightly sticky. I have both denatured Alcohol and acetone, figured I go with the mildest, alcohol, seems like it cleaned up pretty nicely. If it leaves any stains, lesson learned I guess. Building it for myself but still trying to keep the standard high.
Thanks for the advice everyone.

I got a small amount of epoxy on the surface of my cork handle, is there anything that will clean it off without staining or discoloring the handle?

Use a slide caliper rule, measure the depth. Measure that depth on whatever you are reaming with, wrap a piece of masking tape around the reaming tool where you want it to stop.

And the place where I purchased the blank had a Thanksgiving Week Sale. The prices were on the website, that was copied and pasted from their page.

Mostly my experience so far on here has been great, and advice greatly appreciated. But envy and negativety should be refrained from in my opinion on a forum like this.

Chad,
You mentioned "stripping", I'm assuming you are referring to the rod itself , but what do you mean by that?
Just curious, new at this and have a couple rods to repair myself.
Thanks in advance.

I've read in a few different places and opinions seem a bit split on these charts. Seems like a very helpful guide to me. Is this a beginners tool or something I can rely on?
