is there a solvent that you can use for cleaning brushes after use of say, Flex-coat and Pro-kote ? - and yes I know the easiest and quick way is to use disposable brushes....I would like to use better qual. brushes and and be able to use them again.... thanks

I want to thank all that responded to my question - Thank You ! I warmed the Hardner and Resin (as I always do) and went to work....I did notice that the Hardner did 'lighten' a little bit - and when mixed with the resin, it still had the 'light' Honey-color.....however, I proceeded - in the end there was no difference after the finish had cured ---- clear as a bell - as they say !! agai

Hi guys - I have a bottle of Pro-Kote hardner that has turned a Honey color.... the bottle of resin has remained clear ... My question is - has the hardner gone bad - or would it clear out in mixing with the resin ? Thanks

I have used the mono, but after about 3 pull-throughs, it takes on "a set" in the form of a kink - I was wanting to avoid this, in maybe the loop being of another material that I've not tried.....once the mono gets the "kink" set, it tends to make it a bit harder to pull up under the wraps - and no, my tension on them is not too tight-so, as my looking for something else.....

Hi all, would like to know others ideas or what type of material you use for pull-thru loops for wraps ...I have used mono, unwaxed dental floss, and even wrapping thread itself - but I am always open to "new" methods and techniques

I forgot to add that by the time I pour and mix, and start applying to the rod, the finish has had a chance to cool down a little bit...its Not hot when it goes on....

I like to put the containers in a bowl of med. hot water for about 5 to 8 min. before use........ I find this works perfect for me and my applications.

Hey guys, I'm in the process of re-wrapping a vintage Harnell #552 surf rod and want to go back to original thread colors for the wraps. I have found some info. that what was used was Gudebrods #209, #326 and or #358 .........I know that #209 is a yellow and #326 is scarlett, but what color is the #358 ?, and are these standard thread or NCP ? the original wraps on the rod are no longer ther
