Thanks for the advice Roger and Tom. I put the butt cap on last night and it seemed to adhere well.

Thanks for the advice Tom I will give it a try. Roger the butt cap fits over approximately the last 1 1/2 inches of the rear grip.

What is the best adhesive to attach a rubber door know butt plug to a cork grip? I have some Flex Coat rod builders epoxy glue and I also have some epoxy gel. Will either of these work or is there something better?

I have a Doc Ski musky weave pattern that I would like to put on a rod. It has two Holland thread colors listed and I do not know anything about Holland threads. Anyone have any ideas as to what 191/Black Holland and 1950 NCP Holland threads would be close matches to in Pro Wrap or some other manufacturer? Thanks for any help!

Has anyone used any of the Seeker blanks for musky trolling rods. Even though they are not 2-piece blanks they might work for what I'm looking to build for myself and a few other guys.

I had a similar issue and wrapped masking tape around the rubber covers. Haven't had any issues since. I just put new tape on after a few rods.

It doesn't look like Mudhole has the new St. Croix blanks yet. I searched for them on their website by the product number in the catalog. I could add the blank to a cart but it said it was not in stock. I would be interested in taking a look at these and hopefully St. Croix offers the blanks to builders.

Thanks for the suggestion Jeremy. I have built on the Tackle Industries blank but hadn't thought about using them as a trolling blanks. I would really like to find a two piece alternative as space in the boat is at a premium.

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I will look into these. Geoff, Would the two-piece Pac Bay surf rods work if they were cut down a bit?

I'm looking for a blank to use to troll big musky crankbaits. The biggest baits would probably be in the 8-10 ounce range and would be deep divers. I would like to find 2 piece blanks for this application but haven't came across anything that I think would work. One piece ideas would also be welcome. I'm looking for a blank 8 to 10 feet long. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I've used the ones from MudHole. They are ok and I'm looking for other possibilities. I haven't came up with many options in my searches though. Thanks for the help.

I'm looking for good quality 1 1/2" cork rings. I've found Five Star Cork through a google search but don't know much about them and the quality of their cork. Do they offer good cork and are there other places out there to look? Thanks!
