Why does your customer want a fixed reel seat if he is going to be using a center pin with the rod? I would recommend using Pac Bay sliding rings rather then a fixed reel seat. but that is my opinion. If you do go with a fixed reel seat I think you could use a normal size one I have put my pin on my 10'6" factory built rod that has a seat on it that is ment for just a normal spinning reel. S

2. Need Help
Hi guy
I have a question for anyone that can answer it. I have a friend with a lot of old fishing equipment and she is looking to find out the value of it for insurance purposes. Does anyone know of any appraisers that handle fishing equipment close to missuaga or london ontario? any help would be appreciated.

I emailed Batson last night and Bill replyed today saying he would pass the info on to the warranty department. So I should be hearing back from the some time soon I hope. I gave the rod to my father for fathers day. So I am hoping that batson can help me out in some way if not my father is going to try to fix it some how. he will most likely put a sleeve over the break since where it broke seems

4. Broken Tip
Hi all I am wondering if there is any way to salvage teh tip of my Rainshadow IF905-4 blank I was wraping it by hand and when I weent to pull the thread throught to lock the thread down the tip snaped. Does anyone know if I can send it in under the warranty for repair or will this not be covered? if not can anyone tell me how I could repair it my self?

The 2 tip sections you talked about one is most likely a dryfly tip and the other a nymph tip.

Hi all
I have a question to do with the life span of CP and flex Coat . My father has some CP that is many years old and I was just wondering if it would still be any good? The flex coat is only about 6 years old will that still be any good? Any help would be appreciated

I was just wondering how important it is to scuff the blank befor applying the reel seat and handle? I glued up my reel seat to the blank last night and I relized today that I never scuffed the black were teh seat was glued to. If anyone can get back to me with an answer it would be great. even though I know it is to late to do anything now but what problems can i expect in the future if any?

I am going to be building a 9ft spinnign rod and I am wondering what size guides and type would be recommended? This is my first spinning rod to build so any help would be great.

I was just wondering if a 9ft 6wt. fly rod blank would make a suitable light weight spinning rod 6-10 lbs test line? or will i need a lighter or heavyer weight blank? I was looking at a forcast blank to make the rod because i have a request for a blue rod. It will be used for trout, bass, and posssibly salmon.Any input on this blank would be healpful.

I just thought of something I may want to try with the rod I am building. I am wanting to print a picture of a fish off of my computer to inlay on to the rod. What I am wanting to know is can I just use photo paper and print it off to size and place it where I want it to go on the rod and put a thin coat of thread epoxy over it like I would do to a regular decal or would I have to find

18. Reel seats
I am new to this I need hel on how to glue all the parts together on a reel seat? can I use Epoxy or do I use something else?
Also How do I glue teh handle and reel seat on to the rod blank?
If anyone can give me some in put to these questions it would be appreciated.

Hi all I am in the process of building a Rainshadow IF904-4 rod and I need help with what guide sizes I should be using I was thinking of going with 12, 10, stripper 4,4,4,4,3,3,3,3, is this ok or no I have had one suggestion of going with 5 - 1's, 2 - 2's, 1 - 3, 1 - 4, #10 TAMING, #12 Stripping or go with 6 - 1's and skip the 3, or 6 - 2's, 2 - 3's, 1 - 4. what would anyone suggest? also can an
