Just to follow up, there are no markings at all except the oval O on the side. I believe if was a Fuji they would have put their name on it somewhere. Thanks for posting the picture Roger.

I bought a couple of aero grip reel seats that have a flat back not tapered and it has a bid oval O on the side. Can't remember where I bought them, but they work good with the Winn grips. Does anyone know who carries these?

Not sure if this is new or not but I work part-time at place that pours lead making jigs. We have to put a lot of weed guards in jigs so we use a lot of epoxy. We stomp on a soft drink can and use the bottom to mix our epoxy. Works great.

I use forstner bits in my drill press. Just make sure that your depth is correct. It makes for a clean hole.

Pat is use that printer. I don't build a lot of rods but I usually only build white rods and the black on clear works great.

I am looking for a lime green 3 piece set. Prefer the 3.5 rear grip too. Anyone know who is carrying them?

Thanks. I have used simple green on black grips but didn't know if it would clean up orange or yellow ones.

I'm getting ready to turn some eva out of stock. It is light colored eva. Is there some kind of coating to protect it from getting discolored with use or do you just clean it with water?

I cut off the tendon then use a forstner bit on my drill press and it comes out great to fit over two or three threads.

Does anyone where I can get a cardinal stick-on label? I'm building some rods for a High school fishing team and their mascot is the cardinal.

I haven't tried a tiger wrap yet, but I plan on trying it. Does the primary color come from the base wrap or from the top wrap after the sacrificial wrap is removed? Thanks

I take mine to a body shop near by. They paint them white with flex in the paint and clear after painting. Same as they do a car. They come out great and he charges about $7 a rod. I run a piece of mono through the rod wit a washer tied to each end so he can tie them to saw horses to paint.

I have a Stella on a 7'2" rod. The stripping guide is 18" from the center of the spool. Hope that helps a little.

These are the normal ones I've used, but the ones on the Duckett rods are about 1/2 inch long.

Is there anyone that makes winding checks like on the Duckett rods? They add more color to the rod too.

The frame is a bright metallic looking green and the shock ring is black. My running guides are 6's. I guess a 7-7 would probably work. This rod is for me. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. If you have cork seal on will that work as a prep? Then what is normally the protective coating after marbling. Will a spray polyurethane work?

On Mudhole's website, they show the magic marbling paint and the picture shows EVA and or cork being marbled. Is the picture wrong or can the magic marble paint be used on EVA or cork? Just curious since I haven't tried either one yet.

Thanks for the reply. I guess the colors are added when they mold them. Some are rather different.

I'm somewhat new to rod building. Can the EVA foam handles be painted? I normally use cork up to now, but I see EVA handles with colors to buy.
