Hello Travis, We would recommend looking at the MHX line of salmon trolling blanks. We have several prostaff members using the MHX blanks for trolling salmon on Lake Michigan out of small boats. A 8'6" blank is about as long as you'd want to go in a small boat. Your not going to find an 1+ blank that collapses like a flipping stick in the salmon blanks - the longer blanks are 2 piece.
