My 130 class rod I used a gator blank 60" used 5 aftco rollers with tip. underwraped with A, then double wraped using D and added trim to the ends.
With that tuna rig I would get a #51 stripper, 3 #41s & 2 #31s plus tip and do all the wraps with A. I also wraped a spiral roller on a tuna trolling rig using the american rollers using A thread under & double over on this one. It is a

I just snaped a nice calstar blank at the 3-4 roller on a big ono (wahoo) I used it to catch many fish including blue marlin the tip was attached with adhesive so it was easier to remove & save and I've never had a tip fail with adhesive on 30-80 class.

Jim a package 108"X54" will give you a 120 3/4" diagonal. Could you make that work ? Put the blank in a pvc pipe then in a 9'x4 1/2' box.
Just a thought.

Aloha Daniel;
I received a set of All American Roller Guides to do a spiral on a heavy trolling rod and I see they did some shaping and grinding on the feet. So if they were comfortable enough to do that at the factory. I say make them work, with an underwrap and a little grinding should work out. "A"thread will give you a little bigger food base.
