Hi everyone. I'm building a 9' 9wt salt water rod and had a question about guide sizes. I'm using American Tackle TITAN guides. The sizes I thought I would use are: 16-12-10-8-8-7-7-7-6-6 with a TITAN S.S. LITE tip top size 6. I'm using 10wt AirFlo 40+ line. Do these guides seem to small at size 6?
Thanks,
Jamie

The hair dryer worked great. I heated the area and scraped with a wooden popsicle stick...the knife kept melting. When I had it fairly smooth, I used Goof-Off and it took the rest right off. A little car wax and it looks like the guides were never there! Great stuff...
Thanks for your help!

I had to remove a few guides. What is the best way to remove 2 part Flex Coat?

I would think that this might help the right hand caster because when casting a fly rod, the wrist alwa

Thank you all for your responses. I think I'll let the silver show through on this rod, but next time I'll try the Sharpie.

I'm using black guide guides on my rod with no cp. I found that the grinded part of the foot (black finish removed) is highly noticeable through the thread. What do you guys do in this situation? I was thinking to just grind the black off the part of the foot that is under the thread.
Thanks - Jamie
