I'm looking to build a 1-3wt flyrod preferably 3-4pc and approximately 8' or longer. Anyone have any recommendations on blanks they've used that they like? A range of prices and options is preferable. Oh and a little longer or shorter on the 8' range is very helpfule. Thanks for all your help. What a great site. Chris Re: Light Weight Flyrod Blanks

I really like my 7'6" 3 wt, Silver Label rod from Orvis. I know a lot of people like a more fast action rod, but for a 3 wt, the slow full flex action is just fine for me. This rod is extremely light and is very easy to cast all day and not have a tired arm. Orvis has discontinued the Silver Label rods, so you can probably get a blank (or a rod for that matter) for very cheap. -Brent Re: Light Weight Flyrod Blanks

If you don't mind a two-piece rod, the St. Croix SCIV 7.5' #3 is a sweet little rod. Re: Light Weight Flyrod Blanks

Eastbranch had a good and true 1wt rod.. Most of the rods that claim they are 1wts and 0wts are actually 2 wt rods.. The GT40s in a 2wt are very nice rods also. . Thanks Dave Rods Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
