I live in Southwest Florida and build rods in my non-air conditioned garage. I was getting ready to try to finish the wraps on some new rods with Perma Gloss, but after reading about some of the problems with humidity I'm a little nervous. Help. Re: Should I use Perma Gloss

If you do a search on "Perma Gloss" in the search feature on this site you will find that you can use it where the humidity is high but there are mitigating strategies to follw. You will also probably have an evenings reading on perma gloss discussion. Re: Should I use Perma Gloss

I live in Southeast Florida and I have found that the two part epoxy from American Tackle works very well. It is very clear, hardens well, and has very few bubbles. Good Luck, Tim Re: Should I use Perma Gloss

Yes you can use it. I used it in the Pacific NW for many years and always got great results. Remember that that area is basicall a rain forest. Very high humidity. The product will work fine, but you won't be able to store an opened bottle for very long without the stuff hardening in the bottle. So you'll either have to buy small quantities or store it in a very dry place. Or put small BBs in the bottle to keep the level high and air out. Re: Should I use Perma Gloss
